Don’t buy it, The automatic switch doesn’t work properly, Sometimes you have to press it manually to turn off the kettle. This happened the first time we used the product. And return policy says before use, so how come we gonna know the product is functioning without using it first?

looks great, but flawed design

really like the glass design and the width of the opening at the top, one big issue though, the lid at the top is plastic and doesn’t contain the steam, potential for burn while pouring and sometimes the auto shut of fails due to the same problem

Q: Good evening. After purchasing a new Salton kettle, I encountered a problem right from the first use. The kettle doesn't shut off automatically. It continues to boil continuously, with increasing power, producing an excessive amount of steam.

A: Yes I have noticed that issue also. I believe it's a problem with the lid, it raises slightly when hot and doesn't stay shut so it won't turn off.
