Less great than I'd hoped

About a month since applied, followed all directions, took about 2 pails to do my 1 car area. Still having a fair bit of hot tire pickup. Given my current amount of pick up, I'd expect to have to re-apply next fall. Was hopping with it being more expensive, and an "epoxy", that it'd last at least a couple years. Likely better to either go expensive with having someone apply an actual 2 part epoxy floor, or go cheaper and put on the cheaper garage floor paint avaliable.

Q: Is etching required for bare never been painted concrete floor? Also is a anti-skid clear coat required?

2 Answers
  • A: I applied it over older concrete (garage) without etching and no issues. If your concrete is new I think etching is a good plan. We did not apply an anti-skid clear coat and had no issues all winter getting in/out of the car with slipperiness.

Q: Can you use this product directly over black mastic on a concrete basement floor (black mastic is the glue residue that was under 9x9 tiles)?

1 Answer
  • A: Hi Pamela, No, we do not recommend our Concrete Floor Paint over black mastic as the coating was designed to be applied directly to concrete. All the glue needs to be removed first. We hope this new information is helpful.
