Horrible design

Replaced our old Rubbermaid pitchers with these recently. My husband loves the handle, I do not. It is to bulky. I also cannot remove the lid without prying it open with a utensil. Horrible design. Will be putting my old lids on the new jug….hopefully they fit. And, they are too tall with the lid protruding out as high as it does.

New design is terrible.

I don't know when the pitcher lid was redesigned but my opinion is that I will no longer buy it. The past design is too tall to fit on a refrigerator shelf and now it is taller. I don't know of one other container except juice from the store that will not stand up on the shelf. I have used the Rubbermaid pitcher for close to sixty years, I'm 66. Now the handle is much bigger around and not as long. The longer handle gave leverage for when it was full. It is way too big, my 12 year old granddaughter can barely get her hand around it. I ordered it online and it will be going right back. It won't let me add a photo.
No, I do not recommend this product.

Pitcher takes on the smell

I bought the gallon pitcher to use mainly for water. I used it for a different beverage and the pitcher took on the smell. The water now tastes like the beverage even after using different cleaners. At least the beverage did not stain the pitcher.
No, I do not recommend this product.

LID IMPOSSIBLE TO REMOVE

If I could give it zero stars I would. The lid is IMPOSSIBLE to remove. A dollar store pitcher is much more functional. I regret trying to buy a better quality product. DO NOT PURCHASE!

We read the comments about the lid issue. I think that maybe there might be a suction created which makes it harder to turn the lid or take it off if totally filled. We purchased two quart pitchers. Never had problem. Just the right size. Not too heavy when filled.
