Second stage filter for my cottage. First is 20 and next is 1 micron before UV. Another 0.5 micron filter at the fridge... likely overdoing it but I've never questioned the purity and the water heater is happy and healthy too.

A: Thank you for considering Rainfresh! The 5 Micron fine pore filter cartridge model (621037) filters particulate matter such as dirt, sand, silt, rust particles, loose scale from pipes etc. It does not remove calcium or water hardness as these are dissolved in water.
