This fine pore, oversized filter cartridge removes sediment, algae, rust, and loose scale with a high-flow design that filters water rapidly. Made from 100% food-grade polypropylene, this cartridge won't impart tastes or odours, and efficiently filtrates down to 5 microns. Designed for cold water use only, the Rainfresh BP5 has a universal fit to accommodate most standard housings.

Not high flow at all, way worse than Pentek DGD

This has way less flow than a DGD-5005-10 which is a directly comparable filter. Weirdly this is rated for 20GPM, and the Pentek is 10GPM… but in reality it’s opposite, but this doesn’t list at what psi drop, so who knows. Tested Side by side on a pump, I get about 1/2 the flow rate out of this one as a slightly used DGD… so definitely disappointing with how they call it “high flow”

Q: Will this filter work in a pentek big blue 10 inch filter housing?

A: If your housing has a screw thread like most have it will allow for a slight change in filter length. It was slightly bigger than the one I needed but worked fine.

A: Canadian Tire product #62-1078-2 is a 10" cartridge. Our Canadian Tire stores have access (by special order) to BP205 which is a 20" cartridge
