Don’t waste your money on this as there is no support when it breaks.

Bought this for a Mazda CX-5 and have had nothing but problems since it was installed. The installer is now saying they won’t help me because the manufacturer won’t help them.
No, I do not recommend this product.

Used product sold

I just dropped off my car and the remote start kit to the installer. He opened the box and the remotes were missing, the product was obviously used, had scratches on it and there was a sticker saying it was manufactured in 2005. This is a huge inconvenience and I will be returning the product promptly and expect a full refund

re: good 3 in one remote alarm

I got this installed last year. Good range, quite reliable, the only thing I don't like is the 30 second count down it gives you to put the key in the ignition before the alarm starts sounding. Other than that, I've gotten used to putting the alarm on Valet Mode for the technician when servicing the car. I bought this on sale so overall I'm happy with it.

A: Purchase the idata link ADS-AL-CA module, this module will control door lock, unlock alarm arm, disarm ( since this vehicle has a factory alarm) and also transponder bypass. Ask the retailer to flash the module to your vehicle.
Hope this helps

Q: Can I use the remote start function only?
I have a 1991 Tercel and I really do not want to add the alarm function or any of the other functions for that matter. With it being ½ price and twice the range of the basic one I’d prefer this model.

Q: Does this starter function for a very basic, key-entry vehicle?
I am looking to purchase this for my husband, who has a little economy car for work - a Toyota Yaris. NOT keyless-entry.. no alarm system - very basic vehicle.
Will this remote starter work for this scenario?

A: Yes it will, I would make sure they wire in the ignition relay that comes with it, so that the car will have an anti-grind safety when you do put your key into the ignition and turn the key to on...not start, but just power on. Will also prevent someone tampering with the car and trying to steal it while you are inside.

A: Yes it is possible to install this remote starter. Make sure the vehicle is fuel injection. You may also have a VATS system on this car which will require you to use a specific bypass kit (34-0776) which is also available at Canadian Tire. If you have any other questions, please contact ProStart customer service at 1-877-925-6243.
