Obviously a problem

Have had this only about a year and two weeks. A month ago it began not showing power available (red indicator labeled “standby”). Checked the power supply with a volt meter which confirmed proper output.
Now it is completely dead and convient Ly out of warranty.
I have looked through many of the lesser ranked reviews (1 & 2 stars) and there is definitely a trend towards this problem dating back 8 years or more. There is some internal part in the power supply circuit that is simply not up to the task.
The manufacturer, their customer service & quality control departments need to actually look at these reviews and map trends and then get to producing an item that will last longer than this rather than merely supporting the auto-bot responses that are reproduced here.
I’m very disappointed that such an item is sold and has the p-poor support as this one has. So to you, Curtis International, don’t bother to respond to this unless it’s by a live human being who can and will actually do some other than offer meaningless platitudes - the “we’re sorry your item hadn’t lived up your expectations “ nonsense.
Save your time and money and purchase a better made product - even if you have to spend more at another retailer.
No, I do not recommend this product.

A: Not sure if this the answer you are looking for but on the top of the stereo there are 2 ports. Far left and right side. Far right is a USB port and Far left is the smaller round port hole. Hope this helps. I took a few pictures but no where to post them.

The jack on the left side of the top of the unit is an Auxiliary Input for playback of audio from external sources.

A: Thank you for your question. The Boom Box can be powered using the AC cord from a power outlet or by battery. If you choose to use the device by battery - the device requires 8 "D" batteries.
