Q: Would this kayak be suitable to fit an adult 5’2” and 8 year old girl? I don’t know if I want to go to a larger two person one to start off with the extra 2 feet in length and extra weight plus being a beginner may be hard to manage myself.

A: It’s doable. I take myself and my 10 year old but can be hard to paddle unless she is sitting under the front. You can get a boat cushion to put down for her to sit on.

A: The seat is fixed with some cushion, but the footrests are adjustable. Definitely a great kayak for beginners or recreational use. I’m sure it would be fine for those under 5ft, the footrests offer a lot of flexibility

Q: Is there anywhere to tie down and anchor?

A: There are holes at each end with handles attached which makes it very easy to carry. It would be easy to use these same holes to tie down and/or anchor. We live on a lake so only ever carry them to the water. They are excellent value and very good quality.

Q: What is the best paddle to purchase with this kayak? The Magna 100 package comes with paddles but not this one.

A: An 84’’ paddle would work appropriately with this kayak as would an 89’’ paddle. The 84’’ would be a standard aluminum paddle, whereas the 89’’, for example, the Poseidon a model gives better performance when paddling.

A: The Maxim 100 NXT kayak is a marble design color. The design/color placement will be unique to each kayak but overall look/style of the kayak will similar. The variances of color placements are very small.
