Double sided tape splits

I use this double sided tape to mount photos and have multiple dispensers since I use it a lot. However, recently, while using this tape, the very beginning of the roll, the tape splits and I end up unable to restart the roll. I tried several different times trying to free up an end to start using these rolls again. Very disappointing.

Q: Is the tape easily removable (i.e., will not damage surfaces)?

A: Thanks for your question. This tape has the potential to damage the wall, as it is not a wall-safe tape. Surface damage will depend on the surfaces used, and not all surfaces are at risk. As always, we recommend using a small test area in an inconspicuous location, and note that adhesion can change over time, so an initial clean removal does not guarantee clean removal after extended use.

Q: Can I use this tape to stck foam shapes that are not self adhesive on a foam project?

Q: Is this waterproof once applied? I need to stick a clear plastic plate over an LED Display screen, so need an adheasive that is water and vapor proof and can be removed later on, should the screen cover need to be replaced.

A: No this is not waterproof/weatherproof. Instead product 067-6065 is recommended.

Q: Is this tape permanent? I am using it to seal plastic over my windows to prevent heat loss. I would like to remove the plastic and tape in the spring. The tape is being applied to painted window frames.

A: This tape is not suitable for that application. You would need to purchase tape from the Climate Control category that can be used to safely tape a window film on and can be removed without damage. Please contact your local store for more information.
