Not The Right Belt

I went by the number listed for my Yardworks snowblower, 60-3754. I purchased the first belt, installed it, and thought everything was fine. When I ran the machine, I noticed the auger turned slightly and made a noise with the handle disengaged. Then the belt started to smoke and flipped off. Thinking I had done something wrong, I purchased a second belt but the same thing happened. I called the MTD tech support line, told them the story and was told an after market belt will not work and that I must use an OE belt. I purchased an OE belt, installed it and it worked perfectly. I returned the two belts to Canadian Tire and they immediately apologized for my experience and refunded me, they are very professional.
No, I do not recommend this product.

The belt doesn't fit Troy Bilt, Cub Cadet, or MTD

I tried to repair my Troy Bilt blower with this belt. It would only work if I held the auger on all the time. If I released the tensioning pulley it started to squeal and then jumped off. Thankfully the store staff were willing to refund my money. The correct belt is a Cub Cadet. The description for this product should not say "fits most". It should say " fits some".

Q: Will this belt work on a Briggs and Stratton Elite 1530 snowblower?

A: NO it is not suitable for an electric mower. The blade is considerably heavier than electric blades and with the addition of the de-thatching lines even more drag will be created.
