Had a similar one from Canadian Tire that lasted over 30 years. The motor went and then this one went on sale, great timing. I have a large shop vac but this new one is nice and compact which is easier to manage.

Q: What are the key differences between this model and the "Mastervac AT18115P 4.0 Peak HP Poly Wet/Dry Shop Vacuum with Hose & Accessories, 18.9-L#054-0359-0"

A: Canadian Tire should be paying to have this question answered because it is more for their buyers and not a customer who bought the VOC507P. The only difference between the VOC507P and the AT18115P is the nozzle that is supplied with the vacuum. The VOC model has a dry/dust pick-up nozzle and the AT18 has a wet nozzle pickup.

Q: I have to do some mudding and sanding for drywall, will the cloth filter contain the dust?

A: The cloth filter will contain some, but not all of the dust. You could double up the filter but I would recommend that you use a vac bag. The reason being is that the cloth filter(s) clog up very quickly with fine dust and the vacuum loses suction very quickly. This would also apply to vacuuming up the fine silt on your garage floor in the spring.
