On off switch defective

Poor quality bought it for my Christmas lights but after after using it on timer the on off switch does nothing any more.

Broke after 15 months

Disappointing this timer broke after just 15 months. I was in the house during the time that I had it set "on" (for a lamp) and the lamp suddenly turned off. I plugged the lamp directly into the wall and the lamp worked fine, so it's the timer that broke.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Il semble que la minuterie n'ait peut-être pas été configurée comme prévu. Pour programmer la minuterie, veuillez suivre ces étapes : 1. Tournez le cadran dans le sens des aiguilles d'une montre jusqu'à ce que l'heure actuelle s'aligne avec la flèche "TIME NOW". 2. Commencez avec toutes les broches de segment relevées. Abaissez les broches de segment pour les périodes où vous souhaitez que la minuterie soit activée. Chaque broche de segment représente 30 minutes. 3. Q: Can this be used to turn on and off a1500 W space heater? It says on this page the "Wattage" is 1875. Is that resistance wattage ie the resistance of a heating element in the space heater? So is it safe to use for a 1500Watt space heater inside?

Q: What is meant by Mechanical Timer? Is it battery operated or have to be wound up?

A: it's not a digital display, that's what it means by mechanical. The time it's set at moves when it's plugged into the wall. Being plugged into the wall is what powers it, no batteries needed.

A: Please see the steps below to operate the timer. 1. To set the current time: rotate the dial clockwise until the time lines up with the TIME NOW arrow. 2. To program the timer: begin with all segment pins pulled up. Push the segment pins down for the periods of time you want the timer to be ON. Each segment pin represents 30 minutes: 2 segment pins = 1 hour. Repeats daily. 3. To connect the timer: set the switch on the top of the timer to the TIMER ON position. Plug device into the timer and turn the device on. Plug timer into wall outlet.
