Don't get this

There are a couple of issues with this. First of all, it is NOT that quiet, but that's not really the big issue. It doesn't blend. There is something fundamentally wrong with the design of the blades, or the shape of container, or SOMETHING, because I have to really fight with it in order to get any product completely blended. All it does is pulverize the bottom level and that's it. It doesn't draw down or circulate the upper product. I have to manually stir several times in order to get it uniformly blended. And it's not just overly thick things. I can't even get steamed acorn squash to thoroughly circulate. It comes with a little insert instructing what order to put in the ingredients but this hasn't had any impact on the performance. The blade itself is pretty flat and short. Maybe it has something to do with it? Maybe the motor is TOO powerful? The last blender I had was this tiny cheap thing with a typical blade shape with the long reach blades and it was way better at circulating product.
