Q: Hello, I purchased this yesterday and set it up in my child's room last night. Is it normal that it turns off by itself even though the water level is still just under the max line?
5 years agoA: If you use an alternate power cord it may not work properly. All cords are not created equal. I had that problem of them running for a very short time but switched and it was fixed. I have two and they both work perfectly ... CHECK the CORD.

Q: Description says "Lasts 6-12 months" - does that mean it just dies? It's not a long-lasting unit?
2 years agoA: No, that bullet point should be removed from the features/benefits. It seems it was copied incorrectly from another item in reference to the filter life. Our apologies. This unit doesn't have a filter and should last longer than 6-12 months.

Q: Why does it shut itself off? I can have it running for a few seconds and then it shuts off. I turn it back on and it will run again for almost 30 seconds and shuts of again. Sometimes it takes a while to be able to turn on again.
2 years agoA: Mine did the same but switching to a better power cord fixed the problem I bought two and found that some power cords work for only a few seconds but now they both work really well.

Q: How much cleaning solution should be poured in the tank? The English instructions say 2.4 ml (<1 teaspoon). The French instructions say 200 ml (almost 1 cup).
