hmmm okay...

It was a really good kettle...until the plastic lid broke. Same kind of plastic on the bottom of some blender jars that crack. It was a year old. Things just aren't made well anymore. It was the first Lagostina I tried. Glad I didn't pay the full price for it. I got it on sale.

The lid of the kettle has some defect .

On average I use the kettle twice a day . So far it has worked fine except for one defect that is an annoyance when the lid fails to open until the 4th or 5th touch . This occurs about 20 per cent of the time . This has been happening since I purchased the kettle . I assumed that the problem would resolve itself in a week or so .

Q: How long is the electric cord? I need the cord to be about 20 to 24 inches long so it fits under my cabinets. Any shorter and the steam will damage the cabinets.

A: The interior is entirely stainless steel. Am pleased to have it. The ON/Off switch is so good too.

Q: Hi, I want to make sure that there is non plastic touching the water. As I understand it it’s all stainless steel inside and out. And while the water is being boiled and after is being poured the water does not touch plastic parts at any time.

A: This is a filter at the top, in the sprout that is removable. It had some plastic there. Hope this helps and of course our plastic is BPA free.
