Good value for a waterproof tarp!

We bought this tarp for a camping trip where rain was guaranteed. It was, indeed, waterproof, repelling a good amount of hard rain. Also, we roped it out tightly.... no tears although we used tarp clips instead of using the grommets (I highly recommend this tactic!) This did the job well.

Q: How many MILs thick is the weave. Any MDS Data sheet available ? Very difficult to compare prices without an MDS datasheet.

A: Our tarps are not measured by Mils thick but fabric weight instead. The main specifications are: Weight 93gsm, Weave 10x10, Cut Size 20’x28’

A: Tarps do have water-resistant and water-proof properties, but the capability is dependent on the application. Short term, a tarp is suitable for protection from rainwater and other applications of moving water, however we do not recommend using a tarp for holding large quantities of water for long periods of time. The one exception is where our customers use such a tarp for creating an ice rink, in which case the tarp will hold the water in order for it to freeze for the season.
