Finally, a pressure gauge that you can read. Great accuracy. And you can connect the air pump hose while continuing to see the increasing indication.

Questions

1 - 8 of 8 Questions

Q: There are mixed answers regarding whether we can connect a air compressor to this tool. Can someone tell me what adaptor u need to connect my air compressor to this and which end I should be using to connect the air compressor line?

2 Answers
  • A: Not sure what adapter or if it will work, but maybe if you connect the line from the compressor to the threaded nipple and hold down on the top button you should get a reverse air flow to tire. Then release the button to check the pressure ??

Q: doe this connect to a 1/4" or 3/8" fitting for the compressor side?

1 Answer
  • A: The thread is the same as the valve stem on the tire. Clip the one end to the tire and use your air chuck to fill the tire. No need to connect them together.

Q: Is it ok to leave this in your vehicle over our sweltering hot summers and freezing cold winters, or will that potentially damage the gauge or throw off calibration?

1 Answer
  • A: Yes, this tire pressure gauge should be OK to keep in your vehicle but for emergency use, we would prefer to recommend a more compact pencil-style gauge to keep in your vehicle, and keep this dial gauge in your tool box stored in a cool, dry place to prolong its life. For all tire pressure gauges, when needed for use we would recommend bringing the unit to ambient temperature before use for an accurate reading.

Q: Howe do I connect a air hose to the valve stem of tire gauge.? Thank You

1 Answer
  • A: An air hose from an air tool compressor would need a 1/4" NPT to Schrader valve adapter to connect. This tire gauge is intended for use with a tire inflator that does not have a gauge or broken gauge. To connect, simply thread the valve stem on to the air hose of the inflator.

Q: what kind of fitting do you need to hook up to an air compressor hose

1 Answer
  • Canwell01

A: This product is not intend to hook up to air compressor hose. It is a tire gauge, can connect directly to the tire valve to read the tire pressure.

Q: It doesn't come with any connector to connect it to a 6 gallon compressor. Which connector should I buy.

1 Answer
  • A: We don’t believe this item is suitable for your needs as it is not designed or intended to be connected to an Air Tool compressor. It is designed to be used as a Tire Pressure Gauge tool to check tire pressure in passenger vehicles. It accepts a Schrader connection. We believe there are more suitable gauges for your application from our Air Tool compressor department.

Q: With what attachment can it be connected to a compressor? It has a very small end.

1 Answer
  • A: No, this Certified tire pressure gauge is intended to be used on the valve stem of a vehicle/bicycle tire to check current tire pressure. It is not intended to be used directly attached to a compressor, in-line or otherwise.

Q: How does it connect to compressor? I purchased similar product at CT. How does it connect to compressor? I am assuming the end with the little clip lever goes to compressor?

1 Answer
  • A: No. The end that is above the dial gauge needs to be connected to the hose from the compressor. The other end with the clip lever connects to the tire valve.
