Make sure the spout is sticking straight up. If it gets moved from the straight up position while in use it will not spray either at all or good depending on how much it is slanted. Did you turn the knob on the cap to the ON position. When fully in ON position, can feel knob click and the arrow on the knob will point to "ON". Check to ensure that cap is not broken. Turn the knob completely to one of the 3 on positions (spray pattern images on tip). If it is in between settings, it will not work correctly. If locked the trigger does not depress much.

Purchased this spring. Spray sidewalk weeds regularly. Zero effect. Probably a regulatory thing but this product is not worth the money whatsoever.

Signs of death usually occur in the first 1 to 2 weeks in ideal conditions but a complete kill can take up to 4 weeks. The more established the weeds are the longer it will take to kill them. Temperatures must be consistently within the 19-29 C range. If the area is dry or there are drought conditions weeds are not growing fast enough to absorb the product.

I’m wondering if I got a weaker version of killex. Hoping there is a stronger one out there. Very expensive for having to repeat spray the same dandelion for a few days in a row?

Temperatures play a big role in weed control, so we recommend you apply the product when the temperature is between 19 - 29C degrees. If temperatures are high or low weeds are not growing fast enough to absorb product effectively.

A: Ortho Killex Lawn Weed Killer is best if stored in 5-20 degrees Celsius (41-68 F). Freezing may damage the container. If product becomes frozen it does not loss its effectiveness.

Q: Has anyone has a problem with their pets getting sick from this being on their lawn? I have cats and they like to eat the grass, so I need to be sure!

A: Pets such as cats and dogs, should stay out of the treated area until it is thoroughly dry. We suggest taking the label for the product to your vet if you have further concerns.
