Do not buy.

Would not recommend these to anyone. They are actually quite dangerous to use. The 4-in-1 feature allows the pliers to fall apart under pressure and basically explode in your hand. Barely strong enough to even close or open a snap ring.

Cheap but also useless...

I know they were cheap, but these pliers are so flimsy that they're practically unusable. The interchangeable ends do not fasten securely enough to the pliers. Plus, the metal is too thin, so they flex and twist when you try to use them.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Q: Are these suitable for 1/4" external snap ring retainers? Need to install a lot of snap ring retainers onto some 1/4" diameter shafts, wanting to know if this is the right tool for the job.

A: Yes, this tool will do the job. As a side note, convertible type snap ring pliers, like the 0251224, are not as rigid as a non-convertible type. If the customer is planning on doing the same job continually over an extended period of time, they may be better suited to invest in a non-convertible version.
