Russian Roulette ceiling fan, you never know.....

You never know what you're going to get when you turn on these fans or leave the room. We purchased two of these. Pros: It works as a ceiling fan should for the most part, fan spins and light turns on. Cons: Lights randomly turn on and off or like when you're sleeping and don't want a light on and only want the fan on power tends to go out here often at night where we live and we wake when power comes back on ONLY BECAUSE the lights turn on themselves (we have a similar fan in another brand and it keeps its FAN ONLY setting even if power goes out). Light color changes every time if you flick off switch and turn it back on (our similar fan in another brand keeps it's light color setting even if you use the light switch).

No, I do not recommend this product.

Had it for a few weeks so far - Fan has 6 speeds, 1st speed is already stronger than what you need for a typically sized condo master bedroom. Light is as bright as the sun. Amazing ceiling fan!

This fan is silent with 6 speed choices. This is the perfect fan for the bedroom. Easy installation. I am able to have a better sleep now that I have some air movement.

Remote settings and wall switch

I was told that after setting fan speed and turning light off with the remote that I could turn on and off the wall switch, and the settings in the fan would be retained the next time the wall switch would be turned on. This does not seem to be the case. I'm returning the fan.

  • A: We have the same fan/ light system.  We were told the wall switch wouldn’t work.  Our electrician explained it to us.  It takes a bit of getting used to it.  We keep the remote inside the room near the door.

Q: Every power cycle the colour temp changes. i.e. if you want to turn the light back on after you've turned it off, you actually have to power cycle THREE times to get back to the original colour temperature - mistake?

  • A: There is memory function in this fan: When the light is turned on again(with at least 10 seconds interval time), the light memory function will resume the light setting (colour and brightness) before the light was turned off. This is shown in the manual.
