VERSATILE APPLICATIONS & CONFIGURATIONS

I bought half a dozen of these for the specific tasks they were designed to do. In all lighting applications I am using LED bulbs. Four sets are dedicated to Landscape Flood Lighting. One set hangs in an outdoor shelter with the bulbs caged. One set is waiting to be used with the outlets in place to run strings of decorative lighting for Halloween & Christmas. The price is exceptionally good given the variable uses of the 3 sockets (8' spacing approx) this 14-GA extension cord provides. All these extensions have been installed to meet a specific need and I have not tried switching the components around since installation. At the current price I'm pretty sure I'll go back for a few more given that they're on CLEARANCE!

Great multi functional product

We used this product for our outdoor Christmas decorations and flood lights. It was easy to set up and came with pretty much everything we needed. I did find when trying to use the yellow cages for regular light bulbs, it was a little hard to click shut.

Good idea

My husband tested this while outside working on some projects and he thought it was great. He was able to use the multiple outlets for different tools. We didn't use the cages and lights yet but they look simple enough to set up. The power cord was strong and durable and we will definitely be using it again.

A nice idea, but:

While the construction of the cord itself is quite good, heavy, pliable, etc. The overall design leaves quite some room for improvement. The light fixtures "lock" onto the outlets of the cord with a semi pliable plastic ring that more pr less snaps into a groove in the outlet. A nice idea but the physical effort required to install the light fixtures to the cord and the to assemble safety cages is very high. And removing the light fixtures from the cord is equally difficult resulting in bending the electrical "prongs" on 2 of the 3 light fixtures. Perhaps a softer material would work better. FWIW, I installed and removed the lights at room temperature. I doubt you could install or remove them at cold temps without breaking something. The stakes are hard plastic which I fear will become brittle in cold temps and end up breaking. I do like the spring loaded covers that shield the individual outlets but wish they were more weather resistant. Perhaps a rubber gasket could be added to keep moisture out.

No, I do not recommend this product.
