    Works as well as it looks

    Great power bar. Nice and sleek. I have only had it for a few weeks but already have had several comments on how good it looks. I only gave it 4 stars because I haven’t used all the outlets yet. What has been used has been great and the 2 USB ports are great and always useful!

    Looks slick, but boy does it ever emit a horrible hissing sound. I think it's the lights on the unit, you can hear the high pitched whine very distinctly.

    Faulty after 5 weeks

    I purchased this on December 4, 2014 and woke up today to see that I am no longer 'surge protected' as the 'Protected' light is off. I went around the house just to make sure my outlet is not faulty and I plugged the Power bar in numerous outlets but no luck. Today's date is January 11, 2015. I no longer have the receipt so I'm hoping that I can at least exchange it for another one although I'd prefer to choose a different surge protector model after seeing the lifespan of this one. This is a very well designed power bar when it comes to functionality, I just wish it wasn't build so poorly.

    No Gigabit throughput...

    Not sure how well it works when it comes to surge protection as I don't have a good way to test it (I hope it does as quite a bit of expensive electronics gets powered through it), but I know for sure that if you want to run your ethernet cables through it, you won't get a gigabit connection. I spent a significant amount of time and effort building a home network and I won't have this thing to be the bottleneck of my network... So unless I re-purpose it (unlikely due to the design), this is probably going back to CT. No other complaints otherwise... Would be nice to have a way to accommodate those bulkier plugs if I had to find something to pick at.
