Q: Re USB ports 1. combo products never indicate if USB ports are also isolated/protected by the surge suppressor (yet USB devices are most vulnerable!) 2. Some hi-power USB charging ports list total power avail — but don’t specify max Amp per port!
4 years agoA: The 2 USB ports are surge protected provided that the current spike is transmitted from wall outlet to the plug of the power strip. Maximum output of an USB port can reach 3.1 Amp if the other USB port is not in use or connected to a device.
