Nite Ize NiteDog Rechargeable LED Collar Cover

Very happy with this product. :)

I replaced my older version of Nite Ize collar cover after damaging the contacts while changing the 2032 battery. I thought the new version would be better because it’s rechargeable, but it’s not as intuitive to use since it lacks instructions and is not as good. Firstly it only flashed twice when turning on, then quit despite charging overnight. Help desk replied to my email after a couple of days saying you have to hold the button for 7-10 seconds to reset it. That worked but then it cycles through all the colors, while I only wanted red, so you have to click multiple times at the right moment to select the right color (and not switch from steady to flashing instead). Finally the rechargeable part is way fatter than the 2023 battery, so not as comfy for the dog, so you can’t leave it on the collar all day, which I’m sure will lead to the Velcro getting clogged with fur and needing to be replaced within months rather than years. Additionally the charge only lasts 3.5h instead of the supposed 7, while the 2032 battery lasts all winter (used around an hour per day). Overall, much preferred the older version even though you have to use a battery.

The button has been chewed apart by dogs, but it can still turn on and turn off. It holds a charge pretty well and it’s very bright. Overall, I think it’s pretty great. I wish the button was a little starter, but to be fair, my dog kind of is a chew toy
