As you can see, I use them a lot as in cook everything using these as I have two use one for grinding spices and the second one for like quick milkshakes etc. it has safety feature of it will only turn on if locked in place properly. It is moderately quite due to the brushless motors movement technology.

A: I have never tried it in the freezer. The cup and lid are a heavy gauge platic but I do think they would be subject to cracking from expansion. We use it for making smooties and it works fantastic.
