Tried these skewers for kabobs with chunks of beef, whole mushrooms, and three colors of peppers (green, yellow, red). I thought the skewers would be too blunt to easily put the food on, but I was wrong. They worked well, with only a couple of pieces of peppers that split when the skewer was pushed through (probably were cut too small though). For serving, I worried that the skewers would be dangerously hot, but they cooled enough to be handled while the food was still nice and warm.
