It's pretty good

The wiring can't handle the full 1100w without melting, so stay at about 750 or less and you are okay. The unit stays pretty cool and on off function and voltage lcd guage work great.

Good for camping

Great tool for camping at non-electric campsites. Powers up my air mattresses and anything else I need. Converts power as I expected it to. It was easy to connect. As easy as connecting booster cables.

Q: Can this inverter be hooked up directly to the battery of the vehicle 2020 GMC Sierria

3 Answers
  • A: It can be but it should be connected directly to the terminals not using alligator clips as with smaller inverters. However, the question might be can it be connected to the battery without damaging something or affecting something on the electronics of the vehicle. That I do not know. I have only used it on an auxiliary battery not connected to the vehicle.

Q: Will the converter run my sleep apnea all night?

2 Answers
  • A: 1. This is a power inverter. It converts 12V battery power into AC power. It does not itself contain a battery - it must be connected to a 12V battery(s) and it is the size (capacity) of that battery that will determine how long it can run any particular appliance. 2. This power inverter produces a modified sine wave AC output. A MSW is suitable for most appliances but may not be suitable for certain electronics and medical devices. You should check with your CPAP provider to understand whether the device will work properly with a MSW, otherwise you should consider a Pure Sine Wave power inverter. (There are 400W, 1500W and 3000W PSW models available from MotoMaster Eliminator).

Q: Can I connect a 30 w solar panel instead of a battery to charge a cordless drill ? Thanks

2 Answers
  • A: The inverter only converts 12volt to 120dc and requires the batteries and the stored energy they hold to charge your charger. The solar panels send their charge to the battery to bring the battery capacity up. By them selves, their output will not charge your cordless drill

Q: Can this unit be powered through a 12 volt power supply inside of a vehicle?

2 Answers
  • A: That unit changes 12 volt battery power to 110 ac power . The more batteries you have available , the better the length of 110 AC power supplied. Get a solar panel installed to keep your batteries charged steadily.

Q: Does the draw from the inverter change based on how many watts you are using? If I'm using something that draws 100watts will the inverter drain the battery at the same rate as if I was using 1100watts?

2 Answers
  • A: Yes, Draw from an inverter will adjust based on the wattage being consumed through the inverter. The higher the wattage, the faster your battery will drain.

Q: Would I be able to use this to keep my wifi going diring a power outage?

2 Answers
  • A: This inverter has plenty of capacity to support a wifi router. Note, this is only an inverter - it converts battery power into AC power. It does not itself contain a battery - you must connect it to a battery(s).
