Product Details

These Norland seed potatoes from Bulbs Are Easy are ready to start in your home garden. First, spread the tubers out in a single layer with the blunt ends up in boxes, crates or egg cartons. Bring them to a warm, sunny location. The potatoes are ready to plant outdoors when the sprouts reach up to 3 cm (1 in) long. Potatoes need consistent moisture, so water regularly once tubers begin to form. This early variety produces an abundant crop of small, round potatoes with smooth red skin and firm yellow flesh. Perfect for boiling, roasting or potato salad.

Seed Potato

when I was able to buy mine they were already germinating so we planted right away and they are now almost ready to bloom, and I only plant red potatoes for me as a senior I find I don't use up my potatoes quickly and they don't spoil as quickly for me that is a great importance

Fresh Spuds!

These seed potatoes were perfect. I only growcred potatoes which these were. I cut them and planted 40 hills. Every hill produced a plant. They are large and green and very healthy. Can't wait to enjoy fresh potatoes😋

Hardy seed potatos

I can't wait to see how these are at the end of summer when they are ready to eat. So far they are doing great in my garden. I will have enough potatos to last for the whole year for sure.

Q: How to preserve the left over seed potatoes for the next year. Please advice.

2 Answers
  • A: Seed potatoes, once harvested, should be stored in a cool, dry place. It is possible, but not recommended, to save potatoes from this year’s harvest to use as seed potato for following seasons if you do not wash after harvest. It is recommended to start fresh each year because potatoes are particularly prone to plant-borne illness (Irish potato famine). Seed potatoes purchased this year can’t be saved for the following year.
