It works but no indicator that it’s on

It’s silent for sure, when I first opened it and plugged it in, I wasn’t even sure it was working. After ten minutes or so it’s definitely giving off heat. There is no indicator such as a light that shows that it’s on. There is no switch either to turn on/off. So if you don’t want it on, you will need to unplug it. It’s a tight squeeze for big work boots, my Arctic Pro steel toe boots do fit, but just barely. So if you have anything larger than that you might be out of luck.

  • A: I also just bought it f1 week ago, tested it yesterday. There is no button to turn on for this model, but has to plug it in and about 2 minutes later you will be able to feel the heat coming out slowly. I am still in doubt whether keeping it or not. I got this brand of gift last year from friend of the model that can dry 2 pairs of shoes and there is timer and button to turn on. I love it. So I thought to buy this one (1 pair) for friend's christmas gift as it is cheaper than the other version. However, not sure how long will it take to dry out the totally wet shoes? The machine is so quiet and the heat doesn't seem strong.

Q: Can this item be used for gloves or mittens when wet!!

1 Answer
  • A: For Gloves or Mitts that are very wet it would be best to use a Forced Air Dryer versus a convection Dryer like the SD Boot Dryer mentioned. Drying times would be lengthy using convection. A good option would be to use the MaxxDry Vent Dry product for Gloves and Mitts.
