Only got to use once

I bought this to torque a few bolts on my truck 2 years ago. It worked at that time. Only used it once. Then this past week I finally needed to use it again. This time to torque a new oil pan on my wifes suv that was being replaced. It just started flashing some strange 00000 digits. Went to take it back thinking it had a lifetime warranty because of all the years of them advertising that all my life on different Mastercraft products. Turns out they changed their warranty over the years. Either way canadian tire refused to replace it. They told me it only had a replacement for 1 year. I even called the 800 number explaining it was only used once and how much stress it caused. At the time of failure, It was 4:30pm and things were closing. I had to call around to borrow one or I was out of a vehicle while I tried to get the oil pan installed correctly to it's specs. This was very upsetting. This product should have longer warranty for the price and shouldn't have stopped working after one use and storage.
No, I do not recommend this product.

This torque wrench was a lifesaver

Bought this reluctantly due to price but it saved my bacon. I’m on my first so build and needed the degree angle torque. This wrench acted flawlessly. Time will tell how it stands up to future use but so far so good.
I don’t think I need my other torque wrenches anymore.

Ratchet Head Broken

I tightened some wheel nuts to 96 ft-lb with no problem. At 165 ft-lb the ratchet head broke thus rendering the wrench useless. Returned the wrench to the store and won’t buy another one.
No, I do not recommend this product.

For the price the wrenches have been great for our shop for our application, we find between all of them they are all very close in readings also (we have about 5 units in operation)
