Heat gun replacement not satisfied

I bought my previous Heat Gun model Mastercraft 3 year and 3 months ago. For the first 3 year and 2 months i may have used it a couple of minutes at the most. Then when i used it for a few hours in a two week period it stopped working. No more heat... Went to the store and the person who posed as a "director" would not take that period into account. No way should i get a refund!!! I have many many tools from Canadian Tire, and to my memory, it was the first time i tried to return something. Not a good way to treat a long time customer. I bought another one from you again because i was in a jam. But next time i will take my time consider otherwise!

Q: Would this heat gun work ok for vinyl carpet for outdoor deck. eg duradek?

A: I would suspect that it would. It is capable of producing a good volume of very hot air, enough to be sufficient. It may be that one of the included nozzles would work well directing the air to protect the flooring. I’m not familiar with using the heat gun that way, so this opinion is not based on direct experience.
