Mastercraft Easy Install Track Panel Basket

On sale these Cdn Tire baskets are very good value. I have heavy-duty store-wall (standard 3" slat spacing) in my garage. Unlike most of the proprietary Cdn Tire track accessories, these baskets work perfectly in the more standard slat-wall slots and spacing. They are not as strong as Storewall's baskets, but overall very good for perhaps up to 10kg - I would personally not trust them with more weight than that, even if they are spec'd for up to 18kg.

We have the track system in multiple sections in the garage for all the tools and other junk, we recently purchased the 4 track panel kit to install very low on the wall so our kids could easily grab and store their toys!

This basket is utter garbage. Canadian Tire has chose to use the lowest bidder for thier slat wall products in the last few years and the quality of this product is a perfect example. I purchased a slat wall system 10 years ago. The quality of every hook and basket was excellent. I purchased 4 different sizes of baskets and they were excellent quality. Each of those baskets had the proper slat insert so the weight of the basket was taken entirely by the slat wall system. They were painted and treated with a semi-soft rubberized coating. This was quality, this was the quality that Canadian Tire was promising it's customers in it's product revamp. Today - it's garbage. The baskets might as well be made from chicken wire. They won't hold weight properly as the slat wall system was designed to do. The lack of choice for sizes is also appalling I doubt this review will go back to Canadian Tire corporate but if it does read this carefully. Go back into your manufacturing records and start producing quality materials that your company was creating c2007-2009. If you want a poorly made basket with the quality you'd expect to find at the dollar store , then this product is for you.
