It is very large (so takes up a lot of space in a cupboard) & takes forever to grind peppercorns. A manual one would have been better, so my bad on trying a powered version. It takes 6 AAA batteries for it to function. The baseplate can be finicky to take off; nb, you need to take it off to get the ground material. Anyway, I will likely give this away & find a manual option
