Worked great until it didn't

I've had this kettle for a couple months now, and it worked great until recently. It takes 8+ tries to try and boil water as it keeps malfunctioning and jumping between temperatures. Kettle also turns on by itself randomly and starts beeping, which is a fire hazard. I didn't keep my receipt but I'm going to try and return this for an entirely different kettle, disappointing.

No steam

Does not steam when boiling water. I have never seen a kettle not steam when in use. That much ateam pressure cant be safe.
