Works great

It worked great and served its purpose! Luckily we got it on sale too. We bought it for a breakfast party to serve pancakes and sausages. Each tray is quite small though so I wouldn’t use it for a dinner party. Maybe for appetizers only. Also the cord is really short so we had to use 2 extension cords in order to reach an outlet.

The product works well overall, but it wasn’t quite what I expected. It doesn’t include any utensils, and heat tends to escape through the opening if you don’t have utensils that fit the proper size. It would be even better if it came with compatible utensils or a better seal.

Master Chef 3- Tier Buffet Poor Quality Lids

To share our experience with the lids of the Master Chef 3-tier food warmer were using in the breakfast room. We have found that the lids do not last and frequently break, leaving us with two warmers that are now unusable without lids. I have experienced similar issues with my personal Master Chef food warmer at home, where the lids have started cracking along the edge until the crack propagated to the middle.
We would greatly appreciate it if Canadian Tire offered replacement lids for separate purchase, especially if the current lids cannot be made more durable and less prone to breaking.

Q: I want to use 2 compartments instead of 3 so to make it bigger. Can I use 2 foil pans or 2 glass pans (if it fits) instead of the containers that comes with it?

A: The top part comes off so it becomes a hot plate. You can place anything on it to keep it warm. Hope that helps.

Q: You state the capacity as 3 2.5 quart (12L) vessels but 2.5 quart is approximately equal to 2.4L, so what is the correct volume?

A: 1 US Quart (liquid) is 2.366L; 2.5 quarts = 5.9L; 3 compartments x 2.5 quarts (or 5.9L) = Total of 7.5 quarts (17.75L)

Q: Can this be used in a small take out restaurant Also the ad state it will keep food warm for up to 3 hours; is the three hours the maximum length of time it can be operated for at one time or is there another reason.

A: I think that the 3 hours have more to do with bacteria growth - if it sits too long at that temperature, then you could get some nasty stuff growing.
