Q: Can this Product used on a 4.3L Volvo Penta Marine engine . It is basically a V6 GM truck engine . The power steering actuator has rubber seals which have been know to leak. I checked my fluid and it is only 1/2 full. Can I add this to the existing fluid

A: I used it in my Kia as an emergency solution and it worked fine... Until I had to replace my steering rack and my mechanic told me this power leak contaminated the whole system. Now I use Liquid Moly ATF 1800. Expensive but better long term

A: Hi, Lucas products are used in any vehicles. The power steering works quite well but it also depends on the size of the leak. If this doesn't stop the leak, you should get the car in for service. It may take up to a full day to see the results.

A: Our power steering stop leak will work in that application, be advised though what ever amount you put in must be taken out as you can over fill the system. In other words if adding 8oz of Lucas Oil Power Steering Stop Leak then 8oz of fluid must be taken out.

A: power steering stop leak is not meant for transmissions. Lucas Oil products are not developed for CVT applications. I cannot recommend any stop leak product for CVT applications.

Q: Will Lucas Power Steering Stop Leak work on my 2001 Camry? I have a slow leak on my power steering system. The reservoir becomes empty in about 1 week and needs refilling. I was wondering if I could try this on my car? Also, would it work in colder temperatures or would the steering become stiff?

A: as far as stopping the leak goes there isnt another product on the market with a better chance at success as long as it is a seal leak and not a hose leak or a crackin the pump or reservoir. if the amount of stop leak used is more than 1 355 ml bottle in the system there could be possible issues with cold weather. this is only the case until the car warms up.

A: If a Honda owner has a very serious leak we recommend using only one bottle of Lucas Power Steering Stop Leak. If the intent is to maintain a healthy power steering system then use only one bottle of Lucas Power Steering Fluid with Conditioners. If the system is leaking in winter use only one bottle of Lucas Power Steering Fluid with Conditioners. If the Honda is a late model that uses WS fluid in the power steering we don’t have anything that would be compatible for conditioning or stopping a leak. Honda fluid is characterized by a very light viscosity and this necessitates lighter treatments with additive packages.

Q: Does it work for pinhole leak on power steering cooler line? A pinhole leak (very slow, about 2-3 drops a day when parked), right at the bracket location holding the power steering cooler line (looks like aluminum). Does this product work for this kind of slow leak?

A: The product is designed for seal leaks only. It will not repair hoses or aluminium lines.
