    Perfect curved bottom section design, it does not seep boiling water out. Loads of wholes all around the steamer basket to flow water or steam around. It works great for pasta, easy cook -- easy drain. It works fabulous as a vegetable steamer. Got it on sale 70% off, I use it everyday and LOVE IT.

    Q: what is the capacity for the insert ? The amount of vegetables, etc. that will fit in the insert for steaming.

    • A: The outer boiling pot is 6 L. There is approximately 3/4 inch between the outer boiling pot and the deep steamer insert. The steamer insert can be used for family sized servings of pasta, for rinsing and blanching and for steaming vegetables. It can easily hold a brocolli and cauliflower for steaming at the same time.
