Defect

Inside face of scoop becomes rough after a year of service, preventing ice cream from coming off the scoop easily. This is my second scoop and both have failed in the same manner. Poor rating reflects the fact it fails to perform its intended function. It is solidly built and nice to hold . . . if only the plating stayed on the face of the scoop it would be a great scoop.
