My hand blender was a gift. I really like it. It’s well made and a handy accessory. It goes well with my other Kitchen Aid appliances. It’s well made. I enjoy all my Kitchen Aid products.

poor quality blade attachment

I have a previous model of this blender (no longer listed on KA site), so this review is to let anyone know to pay attention to quality. My KA hand blender is cheaply made, upper connecting part of the blade housing is made of plastic and painted to look like stainless steel. Haven't used it in a while (not a frequently used kitchen gadget), was making soup and detachable blade went into soup, the blade won't stay on. contacted KA - they said it's out of warranty and I can't even buy a different blade... Basically it's treated like a disposable item. if it was made with quality control I'm sure it would not be done this way - connecting mechanism made of plastic. I have Moulinex and Braun hand blenders that I use for small batches of soap making and they are far more superior to this KA blender. KA is better looking (I LOVE the rubber push button ), but poor quality product. May be more expensive models made from real metal. How can be an integral connecting part that holds all the power of a blender be connected with plastic housing ? this blender was used twice and now useless.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Quickly & Beautifully

I bought this as a replacement that burned out after several years which is also a favorite brand. I like the total stainless steel blending arm. I recently made 4 gallons of cream of squash soup that had to be blended from its cooked solid form. It did the job quickly and beautifully.

Finally got one of my own

I've always wanted an emersion blender and since I have other KitchenAid products, I decided to go with this one. I've used it a couple times and it works great. I can see what I've been missing and have a few ideas about how it will be used more in the future.

Great little tool, big power! I love its compact size. It fits nice and neat inside a drawer. I love making raspberry cheesecake desserts with it. Goes through frozen berries in seconds!
