    Cheap material.

Depending when you’ve purchased it - like other reviews said - the boot split after one season. Bought two to replace old tethers on vintage sleds, worked great for the first season. After one off-season spent in storage, the rubber boot splits at the seam and no longer holds. No UV damage involved, just cheap rubberized material.

Rubberized boot splits after one season.

Unfortunate junk. Bought two of these to replace some ancient ones on a pair of old snow machines. Fit great and worked great initially, and a year in covered storage they stayed on for 10 minutes. Because the ends are some kind of plasticized rubber, they split and won’t hold onto the kill switch. Would have to buy new ones every season. Save your cash and look for oem replacement, or something with better materials.

    Worst tether cord ever

This the the worst tether cord ever, I’m not even sure if it’s ever been tested but I used it and, when I fell off the part that clips onto my jacket bent open and it stayed attached to my sled not attached to me so my sled kept running, the clip is the cheapest metal possible it’s so think compared to my oem one
