Nice handle, not very sharp though

This axe has a very nice handle. I notice a huge reduction in shock transfer compared to traditional wooden handles. The blade on this axe is not very sharp though and makes it difficult to split wood. Check the blade in the store when you look at it. I have tried to sharpen it, it seems to take a long time to get a good edge on it, but sharpening does help. Hopefully, with enough patience, I will be able to split wood with ease.

I had a few small to medium sized pines in the way of new fortification going up on the north side of our Paintball field. They needed to be removed to build the last lenght of wall and tower and this axe did just the trick. It was so light that my 14 year old grandson could heft this thing. We did manage to put some scratches on it , however with the abuse this item took, I would have been surprised otherwise.

It's an axe

Used this axe last weekend to cut down some small trees. It is a bit on the light side for me but it does the job it is supposed to. I like the fibreglass handle for durability and it transfers less shock to your body.
