Awesome addition to anyone’s emergency home & camping backup power systems

We enjoyed camping with it on the weekend. My husband has a sleep apnea machine which the Jackery was able to plug into. It was a real life saver.

I use my Jackery 1000 Plus for off-grid camping and I have two significant issues. The first problem I have is mostly just annoying: the App is basically useless because it constantly disconnects from my phone. I frequently need to physically access the power buttons to re-establish Bluetooth, which requires a WiFi connection process as well. It’s less work to just press the display button on the front, rendering the App a complete waste of time. The second issue I have is with the extremely poor design of the DC input ports. The 8mm DC input ports require the connectors to stick straight out the back with zero protection, making them highly vulnerable to breakage. Making matters worse, by having the AC and DC outputs on the front and the inputs on the back, plus vents on both sides, it is impossible to secure the device firmly against a wall or bulkhead for travel. When driving I charge the Jackery using my vehicle’s 12v socket, and have my portable 12v fridge plugged into the Jackery. I had to place the Jackery diagonally to keep all sides accessible, but after a bumpy ride I found the DC input cable had broken off at the connection and ruined the port and the cable. The only saving grace is that the device has two DC input ports, so one still works. But I can’t use it to charge while driving until I buy a replacement cigarette power cable. At least I can still charge it for now from my solar panel with my extra solar cable. Beyond those two significant flaws, the item is fine. The ultra fast AC charging is a valuable feature, and the fold-flat handle is a major improvement over the original 1000. Recommendations for potential buyers: do not purchase the Jackery 1000 Plus if you a) intend to have it connected to both charge and discharge while driving, or you will probably break a port connection at some point, and/or b) if you will want to check the device status when it is not at your fingertips, since the App makes you frequently access it anyway to re-establish the connection.
