This was a fantastic buy. The perfect replacement for my tired 6 ounce pressure cooker that has served for a couple of years now. With this 8 ounce pressure cooker, I have more than enough space for whatever I’m cooking. I thought I would have issues with the alarm like it said in one of the reviews but no issues so far. Q: Can you pressure can food in mason jars?

A: Sort of. I just tried it with a few jars of meat sauce (did it on high for about 45 minutes), and it's been sitting on my counter for a few months no without the seals popping. So it appears to be good so far. That being said, it's not advertised as being able to do so, and there's no studies that I've been able to find that confirm the inside gets to a high enough temp that it kills any botulism. So...if you're going to use it for that, tread cautiously.
