A: Our Innova product experts have indicated that the 3013 does not have the ABS feature. However, the tool does have the capability to clear engine codes.

A: Thank you for your question. Once the diagnostic tool is connected to the vehicle, it will begin to retrieve diagnostic trouble codes. You can go onto our website, innova.com, then to Support, then DTC Library to type in the code and get a definition for it.

Q: OK. I bought the 3013. Is there any literature on it? ie: instruction manual, or just a list of what is on screen. the innova website is useless.

A: This Code Reader is a promotional item and not included in the every-day product offering from Innova, and therefore not featured on their website. We apologize for the inconvenience. This unit is a simple design and includes simplified operating instructions on the package. Further, if you remove the insert card, it opens up to a full set of instructions. For a unit like this, the instructions should be sufficient as the unit just reads engine codes. Operating process is locating the vehicle’s OBD multi-pin connector, plugging the unit in to the data port, and reading a code. If you would like further directions or clarifications, consumers are welcomed to call the customer service department at 1-800-544-4124.

A: Below are the differences: • 3020 has ABS Domestic coverage, and 3013 has none • 3020 has DTC Severity, and 3013 has none • 3020 is updateable, and 3013 is not

Q: I too would like to know where to get the mini usb Cable. Useless tool without it.

A: The unit includes the dlc cable that plugs into the vehicle. It does not include a usb cable as the product does not have a usb port. The usb cable would be used for updates to the tool, not diagnosing a vehicle. To receive updates, you would require a tool that includes a USB port.
