Driving around with the constant CHECK ENGINE light on is frightening. Now this little gadget lets me know exactly what the problem is and how severe. Darn those oxygen sensors!

Very disappointed, NOT recommend it at all!

Pros: read error codes and then erase them, nothing more and nothing less, Cons: no display screen backlight (gotta use your own flashlight!), no USB cable to update the firmware version (cable does not exist anymore!) also cannot update the firmware while plugged into the vehicle's DLC therefore cannot update the firmware at all, not built to accept batteries therefore this tool operates only when plugged into your vehicle's DLC! Had a long email exchange with their customer service, totally useless! Very amateuristic tool, bought it only b/c of a big sale otherwise not worth it at all!

The USB cable is not included, and the tool is powered directly from the vehicle’s DLC port since it does not have an internal battery. The firmware can be updated both while connected to the DLC or when disconnected. In addition, you can pair the tool with our companion RepairSolutions2 app unlocks additional benefits, including access to detailed DTC Definitions, Scheduled Maintenance, TSBs, Recalls, and much more.

A: Haven’t used it that often, knock on wood. It has alerted on P0301 and P0302 cylinder misfires in my Subaru. I had head gasket replacement and get the occasional error on startup.

A: Hello there, No — the Innova 3011 OBD2 Code Reader generally does not clear ABS codes. While the 3011 can read and clear standard engine (“check-engine”) codes on most 1996-newer OBD2 vehicles, its manual and official product info explicitly state it does not support ABS or SRS systems Please contact your nearest PartSource store for more information. A: The scan tool 3011 only reads and clears code check engine related trouble codes. It cannot clear TPMS codes.
