A: Thank you for your inquiry. It sounds as though the humidity level in your room is already high, which can result in condensation forming on walls, windows, or around unit. Q: I’ve had the humidifier for a few months and have cleaned it several times since. Since the last clean, I installed the pieces back, but the water level float seems to let more water to the heating element section than it should..is it broken?

A: I figured it out! What worked was to tighten the screw of the floater.. tighten in it extra hard. That seemed to fix it.

Q: seems like it takes 5.5 litres of water but whenever i pour more than 1 litres, it overflows and goes to heating element. yellow light illuminates when it is on 1-2 setting. but when it’s on 4-5 , the yellow light goes away.what does this mean

A: I bought 2 of these. One had a little plastic clip that holds the float down in its holder and the other one was missing the clip. Would always cause too much water to flow in and over flow the heating element. Exchanged as a factory defect and got a new one that had the little clip

A: Try turning the control down. It will produce less steam and less heat. If that's still too much heat, you may need a mister style humidifier instead.

A: Thank you for your inquiry Marnie. When the yellow light comes on, this means the automatic shutoff has activated. This can be activated by the water level getting too low in the unit. We would advise turning the unit off, refilling the unit, waiting 15 minutes, then turn it back on. Another reason is that the heating element has overheated because of excess minerals on heating element that need to be cleaned off. Q: What use is the water level float? It clips in at the bottom of the rear area but floats up as its being filled and you cant see it when you fill the tank unless you remove the grate (I overflowed it). Am I doing it wrong?

A: You don't take the top off the humidifier when you fill it with water, you just pour the water into the grilled section through the top. The water float controls the level of water in the boiler section of the unit, it only allows a small amount of water from the main tank to enter the boiler tank so the element doesn't have to boil all of the water at one time. It sounds like you poured the water into the section with the float, don't do that. That section should have very little water in it, when filling just pour the water through the grate until the water is at the top of the grate.

Q: This machine had an automatic shut off when it is empty and a light comes on. I’ve only had this humidifier for 2 months and this no longer happens. What can be wrong or is it faulty?

A: I'm not sure why it's doing that. They are finicky machines. I've gone thru 2 now. After a month I can't get them to turn on. All lights come on when I plug it in then they go out and when I touch the power button nothing happens. Can't get it to turn on again. Won't buy it again.

Q: It says to use the Cleaning Cartridge, model PC-1C-BX for cleaning but the package for that cartridge says not to use it with a warm mist humidifier. Can I use the cartridge or not? It is extremely confusing and I do not want to wreck the humidifier.
