Q: I just purchased this and the first time I tried it I have to turn the control knob almost half way between MIN and MAX (around the 11 o'clock position) before the heating element turns on and goes to about 170*C. Is this normal or is my unit broken?

Q: Does anyone know the temperature range of this product? I'm thinking of using it to temper chocolate/curious if it would be suitable for that.

A: The range is from 70 C to 260 C. chocolate fondue is acceptable, however temperature must be kept low and melted slowly. The temperature of the chocolate should be around 65 C, so the base has to be around 80 C.

Je n’écris presque jamais de reviews, mais là… WOW. Le Starfrit Electric Fondue Set a littéralement changé ma vie. On parle ici d’un appareil qui ne fait pas seulement fondre du fromage ou du chocolat — non, il fait fondre les cœurs. 🔥 Dès la première utilisation, j’ai eu l’impression d’être propulsé dans un chalet suisse cinq étoiles, avec un chef privé qui aurait juré fidélité à ma gourmandise. Le chauffage est ultra-rapide, précis au degré près (on dirait presque que la NASA l’a conçu), et la répartition de la chaleur est tellement uniforme que j’ai failli verser une larme en trempant mon premier morceau de pain. Les fourchettes ? Solides comme Excalibur. Le caquelon ? Un trône majestueux de l’acier inoxydable. Même la rallonge de fil semble bénie par les dieux de la fondue. C’est simple : chaque repas devient une célébration, chaque bouchée une standing ovation. Depuis que j’ai ce set, mes amis me supplient de les inviter, mes voisins reniflent l’air avec envie, et je suis à deux doigts de faire payer l’entrée tellement l’expérience est digne d’un restaurant gastronomique.
