Questions
Q: A small bump on the rim of the lid for enforcing the integrity of the for the hands-free tilted lid storage option, but this bump is on only 1 side It makes the lib wobble. Is this intentional and will it affect the cooking performance? Lagostina's lids can be closed tightly.
10 years agoA: The inside rim of the Henckels lids actually include 3 small “bumps” that help to support the casserole lid and actually eliminate “wobbles”. The lids still seal completely because there is an inside edge that nests with the upper rim of the casserole pot. If you find that the lid wobbles there may be a defect that needs to be addressed. If this is the case, We suggest that they contact the vendor'scustomer service line at (905) 475-2555 for resolution.

Q: where are Henckels cast iron casseroles made? I have bought one and I see it is made for only forCanadian Tire. Is it made in China? I may take it back I cant find any where in or on the box, or product to say where it was made. I was hoping in Germany where true Henckel products are made .
10 years agoA: The products are manufactured in China to J.A. Henckels International standards. The products are PFOA and PTFE free (the interior surfaces are high heat glass enamel). All of our cast iron products are tested against several global government agency guidelines for lead and cadmium content (as well as several other chemicals) to ensure the highest consumer safety. All Zwilling J.A. Henckels cast iron products are tested according to the guidelines and requirements laid out by FDA (USA) regulations, REACH (European Union) regulations, LFGB (Germany) regulations for all materials and substances coming into contact with food. All of Zwilling J.A. Henckels cast iron products are 100% compliant will all testing and pass 100% of requirements by all three agencies.
