This chime plays 1 or 2 dings or an 8 ding song with 4 different notes. So it has the capability of playing hundreds of different combinations but only plays those 3 options. Quite disappointing.

Q: 2 rings? do the two doorbells have 2 different rings? I would hope so to identify the front door from the back.

A: This set has two door buttons with two programmed chime sounds. To change the front/back door button to a different sound please depress the small round white button located above the large black rectangular one till you hear the chime, if it is the same one, depress again to initiate the other sound.
