DON'T PLAN ON BLOWING SNOW WITH IT

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] They don't tell you that it is not compatible with their snowblowers! My old 5AH battery has been dying slowly, so I thought I'd back it up with this battery with more capacity. I went to use it on the first stor5m, and it wouldn't fir in the blower. So I tried it in my mower, and it fir and worked just fine. So I go look at the web page for the 60V blowers, and there is a statement there that says they are not compatible with the 8AH batteries. IT WOULD HAVE BEEN NICE IF THEY INCLUDED THAT IN THE BATTERY DESCRIPTION. EVERYTHING THERE INDICATES THAT IT IS COMPATIBLE WITH ALL THEIR 60V TOOLS.

No, I do not recommend this product.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Four year warranty is a JOKE! I have been trying for 3 yrs to get mine replaced that only lasted for a couple of mows, and a smaller one that lasted ONE time. They won't answer my phone calls or emails. I sent in warranty when I bought and have receipts and batteries.

Q: Will this 5AH battery work for the 60V 16" bar chain saw? Greg

A: Hello Greg, thank you for your question. Each voltage line (24V, 40V, 60V, and 80V) has a set of tools that are only interchangeable within their own voltage platform. Only Greenworks batteries, chargers, and machines of the same voltage are compatible and interchangeable with one another. So, yes this battery will work with your unit. the only exception is our 60V 8Ah battery model 2957102 cannot be used in the following tools: any 60V 12" Snow Shovel, any 60V 22" Snow Blower, any 60V Tiller/Cultivator, or any 60V machine that has a battery port door or lid.

Q: Has this battery been tested in -30°C and damp temperatures? I am wondering how it performs in snowstorms? Thanks.

A: Hello Jonathan1083 - Thank you for the question we're glad you asked. Cold Weather Operation: Lithium Ion batteries can be safely used from temperatures ranging from -17 degrees to 45 degrees Celsius. NOTE: Do not store or charge battery outside. Battery must be charged and stored indoors prior to use of the snow thrower. Battery may not properly start if it’s temperatures is -17˚C or lower. If unit does not start remove battery from snow thrower. Place battery on charger and allow to charge for 10 minutes to allow battery to warm. Remove from charger and install in Snow thrower for use.
